Anonymous asked: Do you have any Sebastian Moran/Sherlock fanfiction or art? This pair is sadly lacking in... well, everything it seems. If you know of any, you'd be my hero! Thanks!

Anon, I’m sorry to take so long getting back to you, but I really cannot think of anything! Indeed I’m not sure I’ve come accross any (certainly not anything you wouldn’t have seen) only the sort where there’s a foursome going on….

I need to work on my color theory.

Some Dark!Molly/Moriarty for the amazing cosmostrekker who made that fantastic Harry gif for me earlier!

I want to draw these two again in a darker/more realistic way C: But here’s something kind of cartoony!

Irene vs John

1/3 for Team Sherlock by Kihanna

“I Don’t Ship Johnlock So No One Reads My Stuff!”

A friend of mine ships Sherlock / Mycroft and has a dedicated following even through her OTP isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. One day she got a private message that praised her stories but ended with, “You’d be more popular if you wrote Johnlock instead.”

“What cheek,” she grumbled to me. I agreed, but my exact wording might have been “crap” instead of “cheek”.

Don’t get me wrong: I have nothing against Johnlock. One of my most popular fics, Blood Like Chocolate, a vampire AU, is Sherlock / John. It’s just not my OTP, and in that respect I’m in the minority.

Johnlock is the most popular pairing in the fandom. That’s the reality. With the possible exception of Mystrade, no OTP inspires more stories, art, or music tributes. But if you don’t ship it, are your creative works condemned to anonymity?

Hardly. We rare pair shippers have more outlets than we used to.

Not long ago I saw Sherlock / Molly stories and art being reblogged all over tumblr. According to the tags, it was Sherlolly Week. Fans came up with innovative tributes: vampire!Molly turning Sherlock, Victorian AU Sherlolly, Molly as Persephone luring her beloved to his doom. Someone even did a role-reversal drawing with Molly in a Belstaff coat, followed by her timid and adoring assistant Sherlock.

These marathons are a great opportunity to show off your work. Does your OTP have a celebration coming up? If so, then join in! If not, why don’t you get one going?

Nearly all pairings have dedicated tumblr blogs: Mystrade, MorMor, Johncroft, Holmescest, Molrene (Molly / Irene). If you’ve drawn or written something for an OTP that has a blog, why not contact the administrator and ask them to reblog or link your stuff? Chances are that they’ll be thrilled to accommodate you.

Here are some resources:

Johnlock may predominate, but shipping a rare pair also has its advantages. There’s less competition for readers and more opportunity to find friends who have the same OTP. As a fellow Holmescest shipper recently told me, “We’re big fish in small ponds, yeah, but the water’s fabulous so come on in!”

I couldn’t agree more.

Rare-pair (and more!) shippers unite!

30 Day OTP Challenge

OTP: Sherlock x Molly

Day Three: Gaming

Sherlock is upset that Molly’s just beat him at Medical-Jargon-Scrabble using “anaphylaxis”.

I remember reading some posts by Sexlock a while back about how there’s no fluff on the Sheriarty ship and then thinking, well wait that sounds like a challenge/puzzle. I bet there’s a way to sneak fluff in the ship. Chess seems like a good solution. Don’t know if the actually ship reads off well in this since I only admire the SS Sheriarty from the deck of Johnlock (pfff, boat analogies), I suppose it’s implied (see I WAS going to overlay some Magpies and Bee drawings on top of them but I’m too lazy to do that…ever. Magpies and Bees. Birds and the Bees…YEAH OK LAMEEEEE.)

Anyhow, this is basically for Feyuca who checks any Moriarties I happen to draw. And here’s a slightly alternate version of the composition:
